ETERNAL SPRING nominated at the 84th Peabody Awards!

We are thrilled to announce that ETERNAL SPRING (長春) has been nominated for a Peabody Award, an honour reserved for the best of storytelling in broadcast and digital media!

With more than 1,100 entries this year, the Eternal Spring team is humbled to be among the 68 nominees for this prestigious award.

For over 80 years, the Peabody Awards have celebrated “Stories That Matter,” recognizing media narratives that defend public interest, foster empathy, and broaden our understanding of the world. To be acknowledged by the Peabody Awards is a testament to the significance of a program in today’s media landscape, and it is a recognition that underscores the exceptional quality and impact of a project’s storytelling.

This nomination highlights the outstanding contribution of many creators who helped bring ETERNAL SPRING to life as well as the brave film subjects who shared their stories. It also brings national and international attention to our work, and to the ongoing violations of religious freedom and freedom of speech in China and more broadly. This honour is a testament to the dedication and talent of our team, whose commitment to impactful storytelling has resonated with audiences far and wide.

We are truly honoured to be nominated for the upcoming 84th Annual Peabody Awards. We thank all of our broadcast partners, including BBC Storyville, Arte, VICE, CBC, and the many others around the world. We thank all those who have supported the film and our entry at the awards!
