ETERNAL SPRING (長春) Wins The Grand Jury Prize At The 2023 Rockies!

Director Jason Loftus and the Lofty Sky team were deeply honoured to receive the coveted Grand Jury Prize at the 2023 Rockie Awards for ETERNAL SPRING (長春)! The award, which has been the festival’s legacy prize for top project since 1979, was selected by a panel of seven industry executives from the highest ranked projects among the more than 1000 submitted to all Rockie Award categories.

Other finalists for the award included the HBO series Euphoria, BBC’s Dinosaurs: The Final Day with David Attenborough, comedy Cunk on Earth, and children’s series The Smeds and the Smoos.

In addition to taking home the Grand Jury Prize, ETERNAL SPRING also earned Best Social Issues & Current Affairs Program in the international program competition the night before. Thank you Banff!

Back-to-Back Sold-Out Shows in Korea for ETERNAL SPRING (長春)

Jason Loftus was with ETERNAL SPRING (長春) in Korea on June 2nd and 3rd, and was met by a sold out crowd both nights in Seoul. It was the Korean premiere of the film and the first time for film subject “Mr. White” to screen the film. A very special experience given that a substantial part of the film was shot there.

Jason and the team would like to extend their gratitude to the Seoul Larkspur International Film Festival for their wonderful hospitality and to the Canadian Embassy in Korea for their warm welcome and support.

ETERNAL SPRING (長春) at the 20th International Human Rights Film Festival in Buenos Aires

A big thank you goes out to the Canadian Embassy of Argentina who helped make these screenings of the film possible, and their constant support in the process.
